Below, you'll find some ideas for enjoying this special day.

Basically, if we are all able to meet in The Bishop's Palace (Stableyard Room) between about 10am and midday, we can then take advantage of our discounted entrance to the Palace Buildings and Gardens and then reconvene at The Wookey Hole Inn for dinner from 5pm.

(Should parking be an issue, it will be market day and is still summer season, the guys at palace farm car wash have kindly offered parking in exchange for discounted car washing).

10am-12pm

Stableyard Room, Bishop's Palace

Nested behind and beside the café within the Palace grounds, I'll fit you up with tea, coffee, pasty, maybe cake.

12pm - 1pm

Bishop's Palace Building and Gardens

An amazing place where I used to volunteer. Both the building and the gardens are a treat and we will have discounted entry on the day.

1pm -5pm

Enjoy Wells at your leisure!

5pm onwards

The Wookey Hole Inn, Wookey Hole

Technically my local, The Wookey Hole Inn is a delight at any time of year and more importantly in any weather.

Suggested Itinerary
10am - 12pm Stableyard Room, Bishop's Palace Gather, meet. Tea, coffee and eat pasty (maybe cake).
12pm - 1pm Bishop's Palace Building and Gardens We have a reduced fee for entrance to the wonderful gardens and palace itself.
1pm -5pm Enjoy Wells at your leisure! Follow the crowd or don't. It's a very good city to bimble around with plenty of hidden gems. I've pulled some of them together here.
5pm onwards The Wookey Hole Inn, Wookey Hole Evening meal and fond farewells to Wells. The kitchen opens at 5pm so please feel free to pre-order if you really need to make a quick getaway. Table booked under Karl.
